The reason I haven't tried that is the color. I'm using a dark brown on top that blends with the fabric, but my backing is a much lighter beige/grey color. The bottom line thread I've got in my bobbin right now just melts right into the backing fabric & disappears. The quality of my quilting is such that disappearing stitches is a very good thing!
