I sometimes "recolor" faded fabrics with sharpies. (Light bulbs can really strip color from darker fabrics, so be careful where you display your quilts).

I don't remember which quilt show, but this gal pieced a quilt of similar colored fabric. When she was completely done she used the good kind of dye and in this case, dyed the whole thing a pink. Her original colors were pink, yellows, oranges, off whites-------maybe even red. Looked great.
I get stuff from everywhere------------One of these days I'm going to try that using my "not quite color co-coordinating" scraps. I do have plenty of yellows and oranges that I'll never be able to match any other way
