Is the top and bottom a laminate with wood around the edges? Also are there locks on the casters so it doesn't move while cutting?
The top and bottom is made from melamine and yes the top is trimmed with wood. My casters aren't lockable... the table is quite heavy so it only moves when I want it to! But you could certainly use lockable casters.
Here is a pic of the IKEA Bygel bars installed. I found the S hooks are too small for my rulers so until I get some larger ones I've got my tools that were within reach hanging there. I like it!
