Broken 15 inch square...I fitted the 2 pieces together perfectly with the wrong side up. I used a long piece of clear tape to connect the 2 pieces. I brought the square with it's new hinge to my table. I laid it right side up (I used the table edge to hinge open the crack))and ran a bead of Super Glue down the crack. I immediately put the whole ruler back up on the table and held it tight together ( making sure the cutting edges were perfect) for a few minutes. I weighted it and let it dry overnight. My 15 inch square is still going strong more than a year later.
Tartan, that's a perfect idea! I like how you stabilized it first with the tape and then glued. I will have to remember this method....can work for other items tOo. Thanks again for taking time to share.
