I have a Pfaff model that is no longer available but it has IDT and I LOVE it. I almost never sew without the IDT engaged because, even with the tiniest quilt pieces, it always feeds both pieces evenly. My Pfaff is a bit more solid feeling than the newer models (probably has more metal in the body). I hope you will give it a try.
