From
Charlotte Barikmo Angotti
There are people who come and go in our lives...they open doors and show you things that change you. One of the most influential people in my life was Mary Ellen Hopkins.
She showed me ways of making quilts that changed my life. Her humor was nothing short of brilliant.
Mary Ellen passed away this morning.
But I know she lives on in each of us that she helped along the way.
For those of you that have no idea who this wonderful woman was...you might want to find a copy of her book, It's Okay If You Sit On My Quilt or one of the other books she wrote. She was a pioneer in the quilting world.
I will miss her.
