I met Mary Ellen in the early 70's. I took a class from her on a week night and called in sick because I stayed up all night working on half square triangles. She was a true gem. Telling funny stories, getting us all enthused and ready to make a million quilts. I have a sweet picture of my sister, my daughter and her. I will cherish it forever!!! May she rest in peace. I'm certain she's teaching quilting on a whole new level!!
