I told him to ask about diatamatious earth - yes it works but you do not spread it so it is spread uneavenly. kind of blow it around otherwise they will crawl around it. It works for lots of things. go online and see everything it works on. they crawl over it, it cuts them and they dehydrate. Food grade can even be used internally and it will rid you of parasites. I use it in my hosta gardens for slugs.
