Thanks for the tutorial! Here's mine.
I "cheated" a little on the add-on petals. Instead of leaving an opening for turning them, I cut a small slit (about 1.25") in the back side of the fabric, on the end that goes near the flower's center, and turned them that way. The slit gets covered up and stitched down, so it doesn't show, and I didn't have to hand-stitch any openings closed.
I think this would be pretty with a gold flower on ivory fabric (or vice versa), too.
