I always used to use JoAnns fabrics. I made a King sized quilt that was on my bed for 17 years before it even started to show wear. I made my grandson a baby quilt 20 years ago and its still in pretty good shape but it was not his main blanket. I think you just have to watch to make sure the fabric is not thin as some of it is. Sometimes its all you can afford. Don't stop quilting because you can't afford quilt shop prices. Just make wise choice of your fabrics.
