Thanks Miriam! I thought the knob adjusted the "throw". I guess the lever is just forward/reverse.

I like that decal, too! I didn't think to look at Ismacs model list. Why is "Vertical oscillating" called a C.B. shuttle. What does the C.B stand for?

There's a "Singer Domestic" on my CL today, too. I see that sort of thing a lot, but usually they leave out the real brand name and just call it a Singer.
