I have one of these too.....got mine at an auction last weekend for $5.00!! This one is in pristine condition and in the original cabinet. I have searched the serial number and it is a 1948 model. I haven't done much with it yet other than plug it in and pushed the pedal. It runs nicely and is quiet. I will have to replace the belt as it is worn and will probably break with much more use. Hope to get to it tomorrow and give it a good cleaning and oiling....
Congratz. I know these older machines can be had for great prices. I'm a bit of a noob and will definitely be on the look out for market steals. Sounds like your machine is not a 15-91 because of the belt, not gear driven. It may be more closely related to the 15-30. Take a look at this site to confirm.
