The Q Set is for knits....I'm thinking Q stood for Qiana, a silky, slinky knit that was popular in the 70s. It was supposed to prevent skipped stitches...it didn't! The foot is flat on the bottom & the needles are ballpoint. Unless you REALLY want it, don't waste your money. That Kenmore will sew knits perfectly with a stretch needle (not a ballpoint) for seams & a stretch double needle for hemming....I know mine does.
