My 158 Kenmore has a Q foot set. The book states for optimum sewing of stretch fabric or stretch stitches us a Q foot and needle. I think the needle may be a ballpoint. Hope this helps. I love my old 158 until she decides to lose a belt. She sews a nice seam and has had many hours of use. Ethel
