That's what I always do. I even ask them to roll it up on one of their empty tubes so it stays wrinkle free until I use it. I haven't bought prepackaged batting since the 1970's when I was buying Fairfield poly batting...and you couldn't wrinkle that stuff if you tried all day and all night!
