hello all, my names Heather as strange as this is to say I am a third generation quilter but have no idea how to do it, you see my entire childhood my mom sewed blankets, clothes, Christmas ornaments, one year a whole line of Barbie clothes for me lol. when my daughter was born she started to show me different stitches and how to use her machine , that was 18 years ago sadly my mother was diagnosed with cancer on my daughters first birthday and passed away by her 3rd. A month ago i was invited to a aunts house and she showed me all the beautiful quilts my grandmother made before she passed away and all of the memories of the sewing my mom did with me came flooding back. I have not been able to think of anything else since. I very much want to learn how to quilt and get into the art but i'm not to sure where to start. my daughter bought me a sewing machine for christmas. i'm so excited but i guess i need some advice on where to start. thanks
