I put mine on the boards as well but house them all in lawyers bookcases. I have them sorted by: children's fabrics, holidays, 30's, Civil War, and my regular fabrics are by color. Right now I have 3 large bookcases holding folded fabric, 1 holding my books and magazines and 1 small one holding new fabric waiting to be folded and put away.
