Ok I will attempt to show pictures illustrating what I am saying:Right side up wedges made.Wrong side up showing 1/4 seam allowance.Sewing from the center out, starting on the seam allowance, 1/4 inches out from the center...to the outer edge of piece.the triangles are sewn together, pressing seam 'open' to make less bulk. Again each quarter will start in the center out, leaving that 1/4 seam allowance.Wrong side all pressed seams pressed open...so the right side will be matched and no bulk in center. And that is my Alaska Star, blue for the ocean,Glaciers, the sky, the Air Force, Black with gold petals for the 'black gold'=oil, red for the propane gas their burn off their drilling holes, and dark blue with dots to represent the 6 months of winter, snow and dog sled racing. Gold stars also represent the gold still found in the Alaskan streams and mountains. Hope you all can see and follow the info.
