The log cabin block is one of my favorites and the fabrics Doris chose for her log cabin quilt made it so very elegant. Notice the touch of lace randomly placed around in the quilt. I'm going to nickname Doris' quilt "Girls best Friend" referring to the quilted diamonds. When Doris brought it to me, I mentioned that there would be a lot of stopping and starting in the quilting, but once I began stitching I was able to hide the stitches connecting the diamonds in the ditch. The book "Quilting Makes the Quilt" inspired me to quilt the diamonds.
Bobbielinks: Awesome, awesome, awesome. Thanks for sharing. Can you share the pattern name for this Log Cabin or where I can find it? I, too, have not ever seen it done this way. I am a true lover of LC and this is unique. Please and thanks.
