Steve, my hubby and watched Nova one night totally fascinated and glued to the screen. It was about the Ulfberht sword. Because of watching that show (twice) I understand what you are saying. I think that spills over into other areas of your life also. I don't think I will ever be that intense with anything I create in glass but I sure admire those that have that creative intenseness.

(best in the twilight hours) I have a coal forge that is RARELY used (made from a WWII tank hatch..) and a triple burner propane forge that we use a lot. It goes from cold to 2200 deg in 3 minutes.
