Default Seeds of Time Quilt

This is a quilt that I first saw here on the Board many years ago. It is called Seeds of Time by Kansas Troubles by Moda. You can find the pattern here: http://www.sunsetcountryquilters.com...ds_of_time.pdf

I just love this pattern and have already started it again in blues. The quilting was done by a local quilt shop's long arm quilter. It is a very easy pattern to do. However, one suggestion would be if the pattern gave you instructions for the cutting all at one time. For instance, take 16 fat quarters in the dark and 16 fat quarters in the light colors and cut one 9.5" square, then cut so many 2" strips and sub-cut into 2", 3.5", 5", 6.5" and 8" strips. As it is, the pattern calls for you to cut as you go and that is too random for me. I actually cut each of my strips pieces 1/4 inch larger than it called for and trimmed as I went. That way you are assured of having the log cabin blocks all exactly the right size.
