I have finally found the method for binding that works for me. I don't like to hand sew and do it all by machine.
Be sure and watch Eleanor Burns for how to do the corners, there should be a video at her website.
To machine sew the final seam on my binding I use those red clips to hold the binding over the seam line. This way I can see the stitch line and follow it so that my seam is in the ditch on the right side.
