I save my scraps and give them to a fellow quilter. He fills an old pillowcase with them and sews the end closed. He gives them to the animal shelter for pet beds. He says when they get dirty, they can either be washed or thrown away. This looks like a good use for these scraps.

Now THIS is something I can see myself doing. I have a bunch of batting scraps (poly) that I've saved and saved in case I make some more rag quilts. The problem is, I'm all "tired of" making rag quilts, so they just sit down there. But, I do have pillow cases--can pick them up for a few cents, used, or I can find some not so nice ones--and sew them shut and then find an animal shelter to donate them to. Wow. I just hadn't thought of something so simple. Do I feel dumb!

Won't do this with fabric scraps, but rather poly batting scraps!
