I love the first BQ for leaving the big print patterns so that you can see them. The pic is one that I made for a dear cousin who is fighting cancer. It takes one afternoon to cut it out and 1 to sew it together. You can be quilting by the 3rd day. You only need 2 colors to go with the print. I used the large block, think it finishes out to be 18".

Edited to add: If all your planes are directional, then you have to take more care with your sewing the blocks, otherwise some will end up upside down.
