I don't think your quilt is hateful. Maybe not now, but when you have the time, I would take the blocks apart and put a solid color sashing between them. I think that would be easier for your eyes to glide across the quilt.
I agree. I think you will like it much better with sashing between the blocks and perhaps rearranging them.
