I just bought a Panasonic cordless and it seems to get plenty hot for me. I also have a Rowenta, but the cordless is easier to handle in the space I have and being left handed. I do know that I prefer the German made Rowentas and never really had a leak problem, since I prefer a spritz bottle rather than putting water in the iron. I have had very good luck with the Rowenta traveling iron (even though it's made in China). I already used one travel iron up.
