Default A little I Spy Quilt.

I've been fascinated by I Spy quilts since I saw my first one a few years ago at a local quilt show. I had some of these fabrics already, and some are not typical I Spy collections (the music notes, the houses, the stars) but I just wanted to experiment with making one so included what I had.

Since I sometimes have a problem getting the back on straight, I worked hard to make sure the row of jars on the back lined up with those on the front. And yet the quilting shows that they were not perfectly aligned. I used Elmer's School glue to "baste" the sandwich together and maybe it was just not secure enough. Also the tan "shelving" (sashing) is WOF and I may have pulled it out of alignment when quilting. I like quilting my own small quilts....or rather, I'm glad when I've done them......but I don't enjoy wrestling them in and out of the hoop of my DSM.

In any case, this one was fun to do and learn from.
