This one was started around 1993 or '94 when I moved to an area that had four seasons and I was exposed to the fall leaf display. I found myself reflecting those colors in my quilting. I remember buying those first few plaid fabrics and thinking, "how many different plaids can there be?" HA! Little did I know.

This remained unfinished for so long because the original pattern called for applique, which I didn't know how to do at the time, so it got put away for "later." Well, it's later! It finally occurred to me that the quilt as is, without applique, had a sort of masculine feel to me, so would do very nicely for DH. He loves it, BOTH SIDES of it, and especially the little "I love you" label on the back. (ASL was his first language so it seemed appropriate to me.)
How I so hate plaids and stripes, but that actually works well. I am impressed!!!
