I agree..beautiful fabric and large blocks like 10" with sashing of solid color would be nice. In regard to stash, instead of using an idea I just see, I always try to fit my ideas to my stash. I hate having to go out and buy fabric because I have a pretty large stash. I used to work in the fabric department of Hobby Lobby and I only bought fabric when it got to rock bottom prices like $3 or $4 a yard. I still feel that way. I only shop in the clearance section for fabric. I find I am most creative when I look at all this fabric and envision making it into something nice. I seldom uses patterns just like to make up my own. I do more bags/totes and placemats or wall hanging than anything else. When I do a quilt, I do sometimes have to add fabric but only as a last resort...LOL..I am retired so I don't like for my hobby to dig into my pocketbook too much.
