I guess I'm a purist since I recommend hand quilting on a quilt of that age. I've been told that a quilt, even though pieced years ago, loses its antique value once it is quilted today. I'd be very sad to see it sold outside the family. Please offer it to grandchildren or cousins before selling to a random person. A close friend would appreciate it, too, if there is no family.
