It is true, some people do use Mistyfuse as a stabilizer! This is especially true for many people working with silk since Mistyfuse keeps the cut edges from fraying. But it is still a fusible. Iron that Mistyfused fabric onto batting or something else and it will stick. For that reason some people then back it with a sheer fabric—essentially making an interfacing with their choice of fabric. The results can be stunning. And while it is true that we have some variations on Mistyfuse—White, Black and Ultraviolet and we market it in bolts and different sized packages—we have never had another configuration (i.e., and fabric or paper-backed version) besides what we have today.
