I used a hand dyed fabric for the blue background. I have different layers of sheer fabrics and tulle to make the waves. The mountains are behind a layer of of sheer fabric. I sewed the mountains with different techniques to give the fabric texture. I am happy with how it came out. I copied a picture out of National Geographic Traveler.
I have a greeting card I received several years ago I have been trying to decide how to copy. I plan on tackling it next. Unfortunately I can't find it right now. I was digging in the huge mess that is my sewing room last night looking for it. I think I have an idea how to at least start it now. It is a picture with Mount Fuji in it. It will turn up somewhere.
