Excellent ideas to consider. Thank you for explaining the reasons behind the color choices...such as darker borders stop the movement and certain color combos make the colors in the blocks pop. As many of you have suggested, I will audition the fabrics and take pictures to help me choose what works best. I have run out of the batik (darker) background fabric. The only fabrics I may have enough left over to do borders with are the creme, blue and rust (depending on what width borders I pick) I can audition borders with what I have to work with first and if need be, go to the fabric store to buy more in that color family.
