i couldn't get the pdf link to open either. was going to thank you for sketching it out, but that post has been removed. oh well ..like everyone is saying, it's just a modified snails' trail, so it's easy enough to replicate your effort
i did manage to link into robs' websites and looked at his gallery, his kits & patterns for sale and he has two free quilt patterns ..but nothing resembles the quilt on the rising star page. that's a beauty. the block would also be great beginning for a scrappy snails' trail quilt. or interspersed with scrappy snails' trail blocks.
