Yes, I have made (literally) dozens for DD, DDIL and friends. I buy 2 45" lengths of different flannels, wash them, iron, measure them and square them up so they match the smallest measurement (my ladies prefer the blankets square). I then put them right sides together, fold them in 1/4's and round the corners, then stitch around the edges (1/2" seam), leaving an opening so I can turn it right sides out (birth it), trim the rounded corners with pinking shears. Iron the birthed top, folding in the seam allowance for the opening. I then top stitch about 1/8' from the edge, closing the opening and do whatever quilting I feel like doing in the middle. When I get in the zone, if the flannel is washed and ironed I can make several in an hour.
