Singer 201's have two grease/gear boxes underneath. The cover plates come off and inside you will see. Might check yours out to see if I am correct about your particular machine.
I know, my 201K with a belted motor has the same covers, each fitted with three screws. I've had them off, but still the oil points are easier to use and I find they run a notch better on oil. I have tried both, the manual calls for oil and it's not strictly necessary to remove the caps when using oil.
