Default Friends woven together

When I first began quilting in earnest, a good friend handed me a pamphlet showcasing several quilts that could be purchased from a now out of business company. As she handed it to me she made a comment about how much she liked one of the quilts pictured. Within a few days of that I drew out on graph paper the quilt she liked, figured out how much fabric I thought it would need and headed to a fabric store. You can probably guess, by looking at the colors of green and mauve, this had to be about 20 years ago. Well, last year I actually started cutting and piecing the top!!!! Health issues slowed me down for a few months, then I got messed up on the piecing, but finally it fell into place and I got it pieced, quilted and bound. Now for a label and to surprise her with this quilt! I know her house decor has changed in the 20 plus years it took me to make it, but I figure she can hide it under a bedspread or comforter. I used muslin on the back, off white thread, Hobbs 80/10 batting, quilted feathered wreaths in the light background "squares" with continueous curves in the pink and green squares.
