Maintaining cultural history is important and these shoes fit the bill. Money spent on quilt museums could also be seen as a waste but many people on this board attend these museums and quilt history talks as well. What one person values may not be the same as others. Our schools are suffering from lack of funds for arts and creative outlets as well and museums help to provide some creative history to our kids as well. There is always a "better" way to spend money but who gets to decide how people spend their personal money? Not me.
