Tom W, if that's the case, then the people who have the 45 3.5" squares will still need some type of item to combine for the remaining 176 different blocks, don't you think? ...???

I don't want lots of 4-patches that are identical, so I'm not sewing strips, nesting them, then cutting the twosies to save on cutting time. I don't even want lots of twosies that match. I've got 500 2" squares cut... I have 7 more strips of different prints to cut to squares... lost count... didn't multiply and divide correctly... *roll my eyes* I'm only making half the total because I only want a twin size quilt. lol Tomorrow I plan to sew. Probably won't twirl seams, but will check out the video before I decide on that (thanks SBG).

Interesting thought about the cutting to a triangle idea someone expressed...
