I wash all my fabrics before I create a quilt (I don't know what they went through to get to me). I put the batting in the dryer with wet wash towels. I wash my hands before I work on my quilts or work with my fabrics. And my quilting area is clean, vacuumed and dusted every 5 days, and take good care of the quilts as I work on them. I have no pets in our home because of allergies (would really love to have a dog) and I have never washed a quilt right after I completed it and no one has ever complained about my quilts when they get them.
