You can make beautiful quilts without being showy! I look at the technically challenging and perfect quilts and while they are beautiful they don't warm my heart in the same way as a bunch of meaningful scraps sewn together for a loved one or a friend. There are many many patterns out there that are simple but glorious when put with beautiful fabric!
