I agree with others...I have been quilting for only 5 years and have learned so much watching videos on techniques of quilting and the assistance I received on this board. I also bought a 1/4" foot for my machine....the best thing I ever did! I tried using those "sticky" pieces you put on the 1/4" mark on the plate....however I was always wandering off the mark and I did not always end up with a square block because it was not an exact 1/4". Now I have a perfect 1/4" seam every time, made a world of difference.
