There is also a plugin you can download for woodworkers that will generate a "cut list" for you - as in how much material do you need and what is the most efficient way to lay it out.

I'm going to play around with it a bit and see what I can do. I'll have to work seam allowances in somehow but maybe I'll be able to get things working. Even if I can't, just being able to lay things out with the general color palette is useful. All for free!
