I love the simple 9-Patch. My Grandmother made hundreds of quilts using the 9-patch pattern. In the last 3 years of her life she made everyone in the family a 9-patch quilt. All of the quilts were made of recycled polyester fabrics. There are blocks made from her dresses and Grandpa's slacks. I grew up with going to quilting bees and helping Grandma cut out thousands of blocks for her 9-Patch quilts.

I hand sewed a 9-Patch quilt top a couple of years ago. It was so much fun. As I cut and stitched the blocks I remembered times that I spend with Grandma making quilts.
