The quilt is wonderful but I was interested in your first photo also. It looks like you might have been auditioning flower shapes for the quilting? If so, how did you transfer the one(s) you chose to your quilt ... or perhaps you just free handed them?
Those pieces of tracing paper are pinned to the surface of the quilt and stitched over. This way I can plan their position ahead of time. After all 15 flowers were in place I went back over the quilt with the filler meander. If I can draw it, or print it from the internet....I can quilt it.
