My first quilt top was a log cabin by QIAD. I got the top done, but had to teach myself how to quilt & didn't know what to do next, so it sat for about ten years. I found a friend who told me how to sandwich it & we got that done, but again it stalled until 2-3 years ago when I made a Mariner's Compass for DH & we used it to back it. My actual 1st whole quilt, happened as I recovered after Chemo & I had so much fun making blocks I didn't stop at only one! LOL! I made enough blocks for two quilts and a big floor pillow, so one went to my granddaughter for Christmas that year.
