I just buy rulers as I need them. Yes, they are expensive, but they are incredible time savers. I just did other projects until my budget allowed me to buy another ruler. The delay also helped me to decide whether I really needed that ruler or not. Save money on your fabric, don't worry about it as much for quality products that you will use repeatedly.
