The only thing different I do is cut the angle on the first strip before I start sewing. Attach binding around quilt. Then I stop sewing about 10 inches from angled end. Slip end into fold of binding and mark angle. Cut angle 1/2 inch longer than marked angle (two quarter inch seam allowances. Match edges and stitch
