We have vents in the ceiling and use propane gas heat. We usually keep the temp around 72-73 at night, and on 74 during the day, but we use a wall propane unit in the living room when we're in there, so the central unit doesn't kick on too often. I think the ceiling vents have a lot to do with how the temp is set, and it sure does keep things dusty!
