I know this is an old thread, but my dad just passed away, and I'd like to make a quilt from his ties. I've been searching all over, and this block is one of my favorites I've seen. I also appreciate this tutorial. A couple of questions, since I'm a fairly beginning quiltmaker. Is there a pattern for this, or are you just designing the blocks with strip width as you go? If so, any tips on this for someone who's only sewn squares, strips and half point triangles so far?
Also, have you finished this quilt? I'd love to see the finished product! Thanks
